Julia Willinger (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles, bringing her expertise in adolescents, adults and couple treatment to Lifespan Psychological Center, while concomitantly working adolescents, children, and groups at the Relational Center and at the Early Childhood Development Center as well as with individuals and couples at Kasey Crown Wellness.
In the therapy room, Julia uses a collaborative, trauma-informed and shame-free approach in order to support her clients navigating life’s challenges and is deeply passionate about joining people on their journey, meeting her clients wherever they currently are on their path. Julia completed her M.A. in Counseling with a Depth Psychology Emphasis at Pacifica Graduate Institute, and continues her work as a coach, artist advisor & teacher in meditation, yoga, and mindful movement.
Julia shows up authentically with a collaborative, curious, and compassionate approach, balancing soul centered, and spiritual interventions with contemporary psycho-education rooted in nervous system research. She currently combines her background in creativity with her extensive knowledge in the field of mindfulness, trauma informed care and the body, self-compassion, interpersonal neurobiology, relational therapy, depth psychology and harm-reduction. She is completing trainings in Brainspotting, Advanced Gestalt, EFT, and ACT modalities.
In addition to psychotherapy, Julia. She is committed to equity and social justice in both her personal and professional life which continually inform her work as a clinician, coach, and educator. Julia specializes in working with anxiety, trauma, and life transitions and works diligently to support people in connecting with a sense of purpose and meaning. Julia worked in the music industry before transitioning into this line of work, and is a co-founder of Atrium Creative Retreats, where she organizes, produces, and runs workshops, retreats, and events for artists and creatives.
