We treat a number of mental health disorders, in a safe, nurturing environment to clients of all ages, including families and couples.
Our focus is to help individuals, couples, and families to heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths as they navigate transitions throughout the lifespan. We achieve this by providing a safe, peaceful environment and supportive groups. Our Center specializes in evidence-based treatment approaches including psychodynamic and Sensorimotor psychotherapy, mindfulness, and interpersonal neurobiology.
Founded in 1989 by Dr. Bonnie Mark-Goldstein, Lifespan Psychological Center offers individual therapy for all ages as well as ongoing weekly therapy groups helping children, adolescents and young-adults transition to the next stage of life. Our parent and family treatment and parenting groups address the multi-layered challenges of family interactions.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to work collaboratively with our clients to discover and recover motivation, perspective and joy.
New understandings of neurobiology help us address psychological and somatic symptoms from traumatic experiences. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness, among other emotions, can linger long after trauma is experienced/remembered.
We can work together to resolve these symptoms during the process of healing.
Relationship and family counseling can help couples and families to strengthen their emotional connection and enhance communication. We work collaboratively to help navigate relationship changes, discuss challenges and develop solutions that better strengthen relationships, especially during times of transition.
We offer different kinds of therapy to support your needs.
Our individual therapy facilitates the process of growth and healing by attending to the richness of interpersonal relationships & the interrelatedness of our mind-body connection. The therapeutic journey leads to emerging insights, increased coherence of past experiences, and co-creation of goals.
Our groups illuminates the multi-layered search for meaning and heightens awareness of present moment experience in order to enhance communication skills, increase self-confidence, build self-esteem and develop awareness of self-and-other through the dynamics of group interactions.
